  19.     There has been traffic about the DEC Alpha which is, indeed,  
  20. a powerful & interesting machine.

  23.     I'd just like to suggest the "low"-end SMP boxes might  
  24. provide another type of alternative:  chip-independent Symmetrical  
  25. Multi-Processing is built into NT.  V-Tech, for example, has a  
  26. two-processor (486-66) system that comes with 16 MB memmory, 500 MB  
  27. disk, double-spin CD ROM and a monitor with NT installed for $3K.  Is  
  28. there some reason this is not an attractive box for lightwave work?
